One pool, one explicit decision

Covers and pitched originals wait together in Intake. Nothing becomes part of the artist's Repertoire until a leader explicitly promotes it.

Keep every candidate in one place.

Covers and pitched originals share one candidate pool until the artist deliberately promotes or archives them.

A private Composition stays in its personal workspace. Pitching it creates an artist-owned original candidate beside covers in the same Intake pool; origin is a filter, not a separate lane.

Direct promotion

Leaders do not need a vote for every song.

A leader can move a suitable Intake song directly into Learning with one explicit promotion.

Promotion is a leader action

A vote can inform the choice, but it never moves a song by itself. Direct promotion and vote-led promotion use the same explicit decision.

The song lifecycle

Available

Songs move from consideration to performance through explicit stages.

An explicit promotion commits a song to Repertoire in To Do. It moves through In Progress to the Gig-ready subset, while Archive is a reversible exit.

To Do holds uncapped preparation work. In Progress stays focused on the songs currently receiving band time.

Learning is the To Do and In Progress work inside Repertoire. To Do is uncapped; only In Progress is WIP-capped so current rehearsal work stays focused.

Drop a song without erasing its history.

Archive remembers whether a song left Intake, Learning, or Repertoire so it can be revived deliberately.

Archiving preserves whether the artist song left Intake, Learning, or Gig-ready so revival can return it deliberately. Archiving a pitched original never archives its source Composition.

Leaders curate Intake, promote songs, control the move into In Progress, explicitly graduate songs to Gig-ready, and archive or revive artist songs.
