Your schedule, across calendars

Plan music in Wewamo, bring in everyday commitments, and see selected Wewamo events in your other calendar.

Plan music in Wewamo

Create rehearsals, gigs and solo practice here. Reply to band dates and manage changes in Wewamo. Other calendar apps show a read-only copy; make changes where the event was created.

Connect your usual calendar to bring in private or work appointments. If you use a paper diary or prefer entering them manually, Personal events remain available. Both provide context for music planning; Wewamo does not check personal appointments against each other.

Open Set up your schedule on Home or Calendar. Connect your everyday calendar if it supports iCal subscriptions, or keep using manual Personal entries and your paper diary. You can also choose not to use another calendar app.

Bring in your other appointments

Available

Connected iCal calendars show read-only appointments alongside rehearsals, gigs and personal Wewamo events.

Edit connected appointments in their original calendar. They start private. Sharing busy time with your bands is a separate, explicitly confirmed choice; it hides titles, locations and source names. Display filters do not change collision checks or sharing, and importing never changes your replies.

Calendar import · Alpha

Wewamo checks for updates when you open it or use Calendar and planning screens. You can also choose Refresh now. Leaving a page open does not keep checking; automatic checks while no one is using Wewamo are not available yet.

A retry time is the earliest another check is allowed, not a scheduled update. If details may be out of date, check your original calendar before making plans.

This link gives read-only access to this calendar. Wewamo cannot use it to change or delete events.

Wewamo encrypts the link before storing it, adding protection beyond database encryption. We do not share the link with your bands. Keep it secret: anyone who has it can read the calendar. You can revoke it in your calendar settings.

Recommended for private or work calendars: let busy appointments block your time and let your bands see busy time. Appointment titles, locations and the calendar name stay private.

Into Wewamo: connected calendars show appointments alongside your Wewamo events. They are private by default. “Blocks my time” warns about overlaps. “I can rearrange it” still counts as occupied, but reminds you that you could move it. “Show only” leaves it out of clash checks. None of these choices changes your replies or automatically books, declines or moves an event.

Create named subscriptions with their own filters, disclosure and secret links. Imported appointments are always excluded.

Your own subscription can include native Wewamo band and personal events. Family can have rehearsals and gigs; Friends can have confirmed gigs you have accepted. Review each subscription before sharing it. Editing filters changes only that feed. Regenerating its link invalidates the old link; discontinuing stops future reads of that subscription without affecting others.

Give your household a separate rehearsal-and-gig subscription, and friends a confirmed-gigs subscription. Each link has its own filters and can be discontinued independently. Anyone with a secret link can read its contents; review before sharing.

After adding a Wewamo subscription in your other app, check that an expected event appears. Return to Set up your schedule on Home or Calendar to confirm it before removing old duplicate notices. Creating or copying a link alone does not finish setup.

Moving from duplicate rehearsal notices? Add your Wewamo subscription in the other app and check that the expected events appear before removing old copies. Wewamo skips recognizable Wewamo events that return through an inbound connection. Separately created copies can still appear twice; connecting calendars does not delete or merge them.

Personal appointments and clash markers

A green day with a music note and check means you said yes to a Wewamo band event. Keep this musical commitment in mind when planning with another band. Read band replies and confirmation on the event cards; amber and red corner marks show clashes independently. A plain music icon on a connected calendar identifies its source.

A band event needs your reply and you have not accepted another band event on this date.

Green with both the musical marker and a question mark means you have accepted one band event and still need to reply to another.

Personal appointments use the same dot whether you created them in Wewamo or connected another calendar. The day summarizes your musical reply and the strongest clash. Open the day to read the appointment cards.

Example: a connected appointment from 18:30 to 20:00 overlaps a rehearsal from 19:00 to 21:00. Both cards and the date show the red time-conflict mark. “I can rearrange it” still counts as occupied until you move the appointment in its original calendar. Show only does not create a clash.

Band events share a date, but their times differ, even for the same band.

“Needs an update” concerns the freshness of a connected calendar. Previously read busy time still counts, but newer appointments may be missing. This is separate from a time conflict. Check the connection and confirm availability before booking.

The red no-entry sign and filled amber triangle are separate from the reply color. Red means an actual time overlap, including occupied connected appointments; both cards and the date use that same mark. Amber means band events share a date at different times, even for the same band. The day shows the strongest clash. Alerts include events and blocking appointments hidden by filters; declining or cancelling a band event removes it from your alerts.

Cards identify the source with its name and icon. Personal appointments have no band reply or confirmation state, so a solid card border does not mean a confirmed band booking. Edit Wewamo appointments in Wewamo; edit connected appointments in the original calendar. Connected appointments are never included in Wewamo subscriptions.

Updates can arrive later

These connections update at different times. Wewamo checks connected calendars when you use it or refresh, subject to cooldowns. The receiving app decides when to refresh a Wewamo subscription. Missing or delayed appointments are not proof that you are free.

Who sees what

An iCal subscription link is a secret read-only key: anyone who has it can read what it includes. Each outbound link can be discontinued independently. To stop sharing an inbound link outside Wewamo, revoke it in its original calendar. Downloaded copies may remain.
